Apple Introduces Revolutionary New Laptop With No Keyboard
Newsweek recently challenged “four hot (and nonpartisan) design firms” to create a new look that would help the GOP reach younger voters. The big four included: razorfish, Pentagram, Frog Design and The Groop. Honestly the results were not terribly exciting. Chris Fahey over at Graphpaper.com reviewed all four and offered some insightful commentary.
I think the real problem here is that Newsweek looked at this as if it were a marketing problem that could be solved with a brilliant Rebranding exercise when in reality its a job for Marketing with Meaning. The GOP needs to Rethink its product if it wants to appeal to the youth of future generations. Repackaging the old and tired ideology of Republican past is not going to deliver value to the savvy political consumers of the future
